Professional Drummer

I started playing drums when I was eight years old.  I took private drum lessons for several years and I played drums in school.  It was not long after I started playing drums that I discovered the band KISS.  I was fascinated with KISS and the drummer, Peter Criss, at that time and KISS was my main inspiration that continued my interest.  

My first drum kit was a four piece Slingerland drum kit that my parents bought me after a few years of lessons.   Playing the drums was my passion and during my high school years, I began to take my drumming skill to the next level.  I sold my Slingerland drums and upgraded to a more rock style set of drums.  My next drum kit was an eight piece double-bass Pearl drum kit.  I played in several bands over the years through high school and college.  These were fun years and it was during these years when I really became proficient with my drumming skills, learning from all the great bands and musicians from the 1980s era.  

I have always had a passion to play drums and I continue to perfect my skills for various styles of music.  I prefer playing primarily rock / hard rock / classic rock / heavy metal and alternative rock music.  My philosophy with playing cover songs is to play the drum parts as accurately to the original recording as possible.   I continue to play with various musicians and local bands throughout the Northern California region.         

I play several styles on drums ranging from the distinctive drumming style of Stewart Copeland (The Police) to the thundering double-bass speed metal drum techniques of Lars Ulrich (Metallica).  My style has been influenced by many over the years and is primarily influenced by European bands.
